Hello Dolly!

Well, the rain and wind have been crazy. But, now the sun is shining a little bit. So, Jarrod, Natalie, Poppie and the girls have all gone to walk on the beach. Looks like we're out of the woods so far. Just some rain and some wind.

Dolly's Comin'

Well, we haven't been up that long (or atleast I haven't). The wind howled all night, but when I got up it was just sprinkling and thundering, but by the time I got downsatirs it was pouring. Kaitlyn and Jarrod just left to go down to the boardwalk and see how high the water was today. Yesterday I got a pic of it hitting about 3 feet off the end of he boardwalk. Yesterday half the people at the condos checked out and left. There are about 10 cars in the parking lot. I'll post more later today.
The little white specs in the pic are Kaitlyn and Jarrod. They just got back-it started pouring and they are soaked.

More Beach

Today we went down to the beach around 10:30 and stayed for about 2hrs. Since Dolly is on her way low tide today ended up being higher up on the beach than yesterday, so our stuff ended up almost underwater by the time we were leaving. So, we went to the pool for a little while and now we're relaxing. I'll attach some pics. The girls are having a great time and every time we go to the beach "the boy" sleeps through it. I'll post some pics of the storm tomorrow.

Life's a Beach!

Well, we are on our first ever family vacation. My Dad has brought us all down to Port Aransas for a week of beach living. My family (all 6 of us) are here with my Dad, Grandma and my sister and her daughter. They youngest 3 kids have never seen a beach before (other than on tv) and the oldest was too young to really remember. Emma asked Jarrod before we got here if she found a coconut on the beach would he cut it open so she could drink the milk out of it. We also caught a bunch of hermit crabs. We just stuck our hands down in the sand and they were there. I think we got 7 of them. I am going to try and post a family pic. Hope it works!
