In the Armpit

Well, we are now in the armpit of TX for a short visit and lots of food. Jarrod has a job offer in Tucson we will probably go check out in the near future. Hope everybody has a great Thanksgiving. I'm off to bake.

Saying the Right Thing

Jack wakes up with a huge hangover after attending his company's Christmas Party. Jack is not normally a drinker, but the drinks went down easy. He didn't even remember how he got home from the party.

Jack had to force himself to open his eyes,... the first thing he sees is a couple of aspirins next to a glass of water on the side table w/a single rose. Jack sits up and sees his clothing in front of him, all clean and pressed. He looks around the room and sees that it is in perfect order. So is the rest of the house.

He takes the aspirins, cringes when he sees a huge black eye staring back at him in the bathroom mirror. Then he notices a note hanging on the corner of the mirror written in red with little hearts on it and a kiss mark from his wife in lipstick:

'Honey, breakfast is on the stove, I left early to get groceries to make you your favorite dinner tonight. I love you, darling! Love, Jillian'
He stumbles to the kitchen and sure enough, there is a hot breakfast, hot coffee and the morning newspaper. His son is also at the table, eating. Jack asks, 'What happened last night?'

'Well, you came home after 3 A.M., drunk and out of your mind. You fell over the coffee table and broke it, and then you puked in the hallway, and got that black eye when you ran into the door.
Confused, he asked his son, 'So, why is everything in such perfect order and so clean? I have a rose, and breakfast is on the table?'

His son replies, 'Oh THAT!.. Mom dragged you to the bedroom, And when she tried to take your pants off, you screamed, 'Leave me alone, I'm married!!'

I'm NOT on the snotty list!

Ok, so this is what Mia has been walking around all morning saying. It all started while in Walmart. This is the conversation:
E- I'm being a good helper, so I'm going to get presents from santa.
Me-yes you are, I bet you will be on the good list. Mia (who's been a pill), do you want coal this year or presents?
M- What?
Me- If you're naughty you go on the naughty list and get coal in your stocking instead of presents.
E- You are on the naughty list.
M- I'm NOT on the snotty list.
E- Yes you are.
M- I'm Not on the snotty list.
E- Yes you are. Mommy tell her.
Me- You aren't on the snotty list, but you're going to be on the naughty list is you don't start behaving and being a good helper when we ask.
M- I'm not on the snotty list!!!
This went on for a good 10 minutes as people all around u snickered as we walked by.


Our dog has also gone missing. It has been a week tomorrow. No phone calls or anything. So, Bear we miss you and hope you are somewhere safe.

Happy Bday My Beautiful Baby

It's hard to believe that 3 years ago today I held you for the 1st time. You were such a skinny little thing. Daddy and I were so excited that you were joining our family. Your sisters were excited too! We all love you so much and you are growing up to be such a sweet and beautiful little girl. So, in honor of your third birthday, here are 3 things I just LOVE about you:
1. You are my cuddlebug-you just love to snuggle up with me and play with my hair until you fall asleep and even though it may irritate me sometimes due to the inconvenience of when you might want to play with my hair, I secretly love it.
2. I love your sweet smile and your kind heart
3. I love to watch you play- it is so funny and cute...your imagination is amazing!
As you can see, I love EVERYTHING about you and can't wait to see what this year holds!
